British gun makers are respected the world over.

During the late 18th and early 19th century the first shooting grounds were established. These were in proximity to the gun makers’ premises, located close to Birmingham and London.

Any gun maker with access to a Shooting Ground was in a superior position. They were able to offer clients the valuable combination of professional tuition and gun “fitting”; this combined with the opportunity of regular practice within a realistic and safe environment.

Now, in the 21st century, the interest in shooting sports is at an all time high, due in the main, to the growing popularity of “Clay Pigeon” shooting.

To fulfil the need of what has become an unprecedented surge in interest, Shooting Schools and Grounds have become as necessary, and as common, as golf courses!
